TabRe Infinite Scroll

Topic lists (home, categories, tags) load the next page as the reader nears the end of the list, instead of pressing page numbers.

Features

  • Loads while scrolling — with site setting Topic list paging = Page numbers, this plugin adds the Load more button under the list and presses it by itself near the end (five pages, then the button asks, exactly like the core's scroll paging). With Load while scrolling, the core loader already does this and the plugin stays out of its way.
  • Per-member toggle — Settings → Preferences: Load the next page as I scroll (infinite scroll). A member who turns it off gets classic page numbers (and the core Load more button is removed for them).
  • Scroll memory — when a reader goes back to a list they were scrolling, their position is restored.
  • URL follows — the address bar keeps the page the reader has reached, so reloads and shares land in the same place.
  • Works with every plugin's rows — appended rows fire the core fb:content event like the built-in loader does.

Settings

  • Default — On/Off for visitors and members who have not chosen in Preferences.

Notes

  • Page numbers stay under the list for search engines, visitors without JavaScript and anyone who wants to jump.
  • No database tables; the member's choice lives in the core prefs column.
